Healthy Veg Burger Recipe

  • Boiled potatoes (3–4 medium-sized)

  • Mixed vegetables (like carrots, peas, corn, and beans – 1 cup boiled and mashed)

  • Breadcrumbs (1/2 cup)

  • Cornflour (2–3 tablespoons for binding)

  • Spices:

    • Salt (to taste)

    • Red chili powder (1/2 tsp)

    • Garam masala (1/2 tsp)

    • Cumin powder (1/2 tsp)

    • Chaat masala (optional, 1/2 tsp)

  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped (2 tablespoons)

  • Oil (for shallow frying)

For the Assembly:

  • Burger buns (4–6)

  • Lettuce leaves

  • Tomato slices

  • Onion slices

  • Cucumber slices (optional)

  • Cheese slices (optional)

For the Sauce/Spread:

  • Mayonnaise

  • Tomato ketchup

  • Optional: Mint chutney or mustard sauce

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Patty:

    • Mash boiled potatoes and mixed vegetables.

    • Add breadcrumbs, cornflour, spices, and coriander leaves.

    • Mix well and shape into round patties.

    • Shallow fry or air fry until golden and crisp.



  2. Toast the Buns:

    • Lightly butter the burger buns and toast them on a hot pan.

  3. Assemble the Burger:

    • Spread mayonnaise or your preferred sauce on the bun halves.

    • Place a lettuce leaf, followed by the veggie patty.

    • Add a slice of cheese, tomato, onion, and cucumber.

    • Top with more sauce and cover with the other half of the bun.

      Serve:

    • Serve hot with fries, chips, or a salad.
